This post is all about making sure you have everything you need to start your college journey on the right foot. From academic supplies to personal essentials, tech gear, and more, we’ve covered every category to ensure you’re fully prepared.

It’s that exciting time of the year again when you start preparing for college life. Trust me, having all your essentials ready can make a world of difference, and I’m here to help you nail it. I know the struggle of prepping all the essentials when you’re leaving home for a long time, so I’ve put together a guide packed with my favorite products and tips to make sure you’re fully prepared for your new adventure.

I’ve created an incredibly detailed and super helpful list for all future college students! I already have a similar list in a previous post focused on dorm essentials, but this one covers everything.

This guide includes everything you need: academic supplies, personal essentials, tech gear, and more. Let’s jump right in!

Why You Absolutely Need a List

Creating a list of essentials isn’t just a good idea, it’s a lifesaver. Imagine getting to your dorm and realizing you forgot something important like your favorite comfy blanket or your trusty planner. A solid list keeps you organized and ensures you have everything you need for a smooth start. Plus, it saves you from those last-minute panic shopping trips where you inevitably forget something else.

The Perfect Time to Start Preparing

The best time to start preparing your college gear is about two months before you move in. This gives you plenty of time to gather everything without the rush. You can take your time to find the best deals, read reviews, and make sure you’re getting quality items. It also leaves room for any unexpected delays in shipping or items being out of stock.

66. Hair Styling Tools

When it comes to my hair, I’m really careful about what I use, especially after a bad experience trying to lighten my hair at a salon not too long ago. It took a lot to get it healthy again. That’s why I rarely use a straightener anymore, but this heatless curling rod creates super natural curls and is incredibly easy to use. I’m sure you’ve already heard of it.

As for the hairbrush, Tangle Teezer brushes are my top choice. They detangle perfectly without any breakage, and I’ve tried almost everything. If you have long, thick hair that often gets tangled that`s for sure the best option to try.
